Covering Kids & Families of Indiana, Inc. (CKF-IN) is a statewide organization committed to ensuring that all children and families eligible for Medicaid and the State’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) are enrolled.
The Health Council of LaPorte County was the first council established by HCLC at the agency’s conception in 1996. The mission of the council is to seek out and address important health and wellness issues.
The Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Coalition has allowed HCLC to collaborate with several local healthcare providers, employers and organizations on innovative prevention and cessation projects throughout this county.
Our goal is to make sure every person in LaPorte County is insured, and find the right healthcare specific to their situation.
We aim to make sure the air that we breathe is smoke free. It is important that we approach smoking cessation with the youth in this county.
We strive to see the overall health in our communities rise. It is important that we address health issues in our community, and find ways to solve them.
Most of all, we want to ensure that good comes from our work. We want our programs to make a positive difference in the lives we reach.
