Healthy Communities to hold series of meetings

Healthy Communities of LaPorte County is holding community meetings to gather input from residents about issues that they would like to see addressed in the future.

Dessert will be served during discussion about opportunities and challenges and the sharing of ideas for future community improvements.

The sessions, which are open to all LaPorte County residents, will begin at 7 p.m. and last until about 9 p.m.

The meetings will be held at the following locations:


> Wanatah American Legion, Second & Washington streets, Tuesday, Sept. 11.

> Kingsford Heights Community Center, 515 Wayland Rd., Thursday, Sept. 13.

> Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church, U.S. 20, Wednesday, Sept. 19.

> Martin Luther King Center, 805 MLK Dr., Michigan City, time to be announced.

> Michigan City Public Library, 100 E. Fourth St., Thursday, Oct. 4.

> Swanson Activity Center for Older Adults, 910 State St., Wednesday, Oct. 10.
